“The Crossroads of the North and the East
(methodologies and practices of regional development)”
November 17 - November 18, 2022
Strategy of extensional development of the Russian Federation until 2030 assigns a special role to the North-East of Russia in geopolitical aspect. Socio-economic and cultural development of these territories are of great importance both in the composition of the macro-region, and as territorial subjects of the Russian Federation that have the potential for priority development.
Prospects for the development of the Russian Far East are primarily associated with the optimal geopolitical position of the territory, geographical proximity to large markets in the Asia-Pacific region (hereinafter - the APR), the presence of a huge amount of natural resources, climate diversity, and the richness of intercultural and transnational communications.
The aim of the conference - isdiscussion of the conceptual foundations and experience in implementing regional development programs, the results of innovative activities, scientific and educational projects aimed at improving and harmonizing domestic and international relations in the economic, socio-cultural and other fields, at expanding the forms of co-development of the border territories of the Russian Federation.
Participants of the conference – leading scientists, practitioners, federal, municipal and regional administration and authorities, lecturers from Russian and foreign universities, representatives of political parties and public and business organizations, media agents, post-graduate students, graduates, students, leading scientific research relevant for the conference.

Terms and requirements for papers submission

There is no registration fee for participants from other countries.
Articles of students and graduate students are accepted only in co-authorship with the supervisor.
The collection of conference articles is assigned ISBN, UDC, ВВК. Conference materials will be included article by article in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
Materials should be sent as separate attachments:
- application for participation in the conference (Ivanov_application) - until October 31, 2022;
- article (file in Microsoft Word format, *.RTF extension) (Ivanov_article) - until December 9, 2022;
The conference will be held in a hybrid format (face-to-face/videoconference).
Conference venue: North-Eastern State University, 13 Portovaya Street, Magadan, 685000, Russia.
The videoconference format will be provided by the resources of North-Eastern State University. Links to the topical sections will be published on the conference website http://svkonf.svgu.ru no later than November 10, 2022.
For the attention of participants from other cities: transportation and accommodation costs in the city of Magadan are borne by the sending party.
